Staff Accountant
Description Staff Accounting Duties • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including journal entries and account reconciliations. • Assist with general ledger maintenance and support financial statement preparation. • Prepare accruals, prepaid expense schedules, and fixed asset tracking. • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. • Manage the Accounts Payable process and authorize payment to suppliers Competency Statements To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. • Analytical—able to quickly synthesize complex or diverse information. • Problem solving—identifies and resolves problems in a rapid manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully. • Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills, and leads meetings. • Management skills—Operates with a sense of urgency, includes others in planning, facilitating and process improvement; makes self-available to staff; provides regular performance feedback; and develops skills of others to facilitate professional growth. • Judgment—the individual displays willingness to make timely decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment. • Planning / organizing—Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities, prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans. • Leadership – demonstrated hands on leader, ability to juggle multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously, confidence and executive presence, ability to motivate others within the finance organization. Skills Manufacturing, month end, journal entries, general ledger, GAAP, reconciliation, accounts payable, Sap, Journal entry Top Skills Details Manufacturing,month end,journal entries,general ledger,GAAP,reconciliation,accounts payable Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. • 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong emphasis in cost accounting; manufacturing experience strongly preferred. • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting principles, and internal controls. • Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor) and advanced Excel skills. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.66/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
