You will work with a fast-paced, skilled team of engineers and developers across multiple high-profile projects. You will also participate in IT projects from the inception of the project through the daily maintenance phase of a project. Core Requirements and Responsibilities: Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following: + SQL Server Developer + Strong expertise in T‑SQL, query optimization, and execution plan analysis and Performance Tuning. + Knowledge of SQL Server internals (locking, isolation levels, transaction management). + Design, develop, and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. + Implement best practices for T‑SQL coding standards and query optimization. + Work with developers to review and improve database‑driven application code. + Diagnose and resolve performance issues using execution plans, DMVs, and query statistics. + Optimize indexes, partitioning, and schema design for OLTP and reporting workloads. + Address issues such as parameter sniffing, blocking, and deadlocks. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + + 4 - 5 years of experience in SQL Server database engineer + SQL Server, Database Design & Architecture, Programming + Strong performance tuning skills in a very large database environment + Ability to run trace reports and analyse results, then to recommend options for problem resolution + Proficient with Transact-SQL (T-SQL) + Familiarity with SQL Server DTS/SQL Server SSIS packages + Expertise in scripting like PowerShell. + Understanding of database installation and configuration + Strong experience in SQL Server 2017 is a plus + Demonstrated desire and ability to learn technologies quickly + Possesses good oral and written communication skills. + Contributes to a positive team environment. + Enjoys finding and implementing solutions to new challenges. + Sets goals and focuses on results. + Proactively asks questions and learns about our products. + Effectively multi-tasks and adapts to change. + Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. + Ability to work productively on various projects simultaneously.
