Freese and Nichols is looking for Sr. Water Reuse Engineer – Advanced Treatment in Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Texas, or Tampa or Orlando, Florida. As Sr. Water Reuse Engineer, you will lead advanced treatment and water reuse process design, strengthen our technical capabilities, and help grow this work in key markets.
What You’ll DoLead process design for advanced water and wastewater treatment projects with an emphasis on water reuse and membrane-based systems
Direct and supervise complex studies and investigations related to advanced treatment and reuse solutions
Define technical tasks for others and provide technical oversight, review, and approval of assigned work
Evaluate project decisions for soundness of design and impacts to scope, schedule, budget, and project needs
Stay current on existing and pending regulations and related technological advancements impacting advanced treatment and reuse
Coordinate with clients, project teams, and regulators to clarify requirements and support project success
Mentor and supervise engineers, designers, and technical staff to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality
Support proposals, scopes, and technical approaches as a recognized advanced treatment and reuse leader
QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) registration
8+ years of experience, including specific experience making independent decisions on engineering problems and methods
Recognized as a technical expert with advanced techniques and the modification and extension of engineering theories, precepts, and practices
Ability to lead technical work, supervise others, and maintain quality across complex project deliverables
PreferredExperience leading advanced treatment and water reuse process design, including membrane-based systems
Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies for advanced treatment and reuse projects
Publication in technical periodicals or comparable technical thought leadership
Active participation in professional organizations and continuing education
Experience serving as project manager or technical leader on large, complex projects
