Job Description Insight Global is seeking a qualified Senior Vice President of Operations in support of one of our large federal clients in Chesapeake, VA. This candidate will be responsible for owning enterprise‑wide operational performance, driving execution, and building the operating systems needed to scale the organization. A qualified candidate will have extensive government contracting operations leadership experience, a strong background in contract execution and performance governance, proven success scaling organizations, and the ability to lead cross‑functionally in complex environments. Their day‑to‑day will include overseeing operational discipline, managing strategic and daily execution priorities, identifying risks, developing leadership talent, and ensuring high‑quality delivery across all contracts and programs. - Own enterprise operational performance and execution outcomes across the company - Establish and maintain operating discipline including cadence, metrics, reporting, and decision frameworks - Drive prioritization and execution of daily operations and strategic initiatives - Identify and address operational risks, capacity issues, and execution gaps - Design, build, and evolve the operating system needed to support growth - Improve consistency, reliability, and quality while reducing rework and variability - Ensure operational readiness for growth initiatives and scaling efforts - Maintain understanding of TQI’s markets, customers, and contract environments - Lead and develop the Operations leadership team and evaluate organizational structure and talent - Partner with Finance, BD, HR, and IT to enable fast, low-friction execution - Maintain operational credibility with executive leadership - Manage and strengthen key external client, partner, and industry relationships We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) - PMP certification - 15+ years of progressive experience in Government Contracting (GovCon) with senior operations leadership - Proven success scaling an operating model through growth and complexity - Strong background in contract execution, performance governance, compliance, and risk management - Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one - Experience transitioning an organization from small to mid-size or large - Experience building and maturing program/project management organizations - Background supporting high‑growth environments and major operational transformations
