Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. **Job Description:** Parsons is seeking a visionary **Senior Vice President of Business Development** to elevate our Engineered Systems (ES) team, which supports federal markets including infrastructure solutions, security and mission solutions, aviation, threat reduction and remediation. This leader will strategically evaluate the organization, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to drive exceptional performance and growth. The role involves promoting Parsons’ expertise to federal clients and partners while collaborating with internal teams and leadership. **Preferred location is Chantilly, VA, with flexibility for placement near a major Parsons hub or customer.** **What You'll Be Doing:** + Lead with a People-First Approach: Be a visible and approachable leader who prioritizes the development, engagement and capabilities. + Drive Capture Strategy: Provide bid/no-bid recommendations and ensure early, effective capture strategy development. + Cultivate Relationships: Strengthen customer and partner relationships to enhance market position and competitive advantage. + Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Establish credibility and act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations that align business development efforts with organizational goals. + Monitor Market Trends: Stay informed on industry, political, and procurement trends to guide strategy and decision-making. + Oversee Contracts: Manage negotiations for non-disclosure, teaming, and technology-sharing agreements. + Lead Teams: Direct and evaluate business development staff, ensuring efficient structure and staffing for growth. + Identify Growth: Assess acquisition targets to expand market presence and capabilities emphasize new business models and solutions that address emerging challenges and customer needs. + Develop and Measure: Identify and track key performance metrics to include, but not limited to competitive win rates, re-compete win rates, B&P spend as % of revenue, IDIQ vehicles/task orders dollars & wins, and individual BU sales manager performance. + Travel for Growth: Travel extensively to support business development and customer engagement. team with the skills, tools, and processes needed to identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities effectively. + Strong Book-to-Bill Ratio: Consistently maintain a high book-to-bill ratio, demonstrating robust pipeline development and successful contract wins relative to project completion rates. + Improved Win Rates and Conversion Success: Significantly improve win rates for new business opportunities showcasing effective market expansion and competitive positioning, and enhance the success rate of converting identified opportunities into contracts through effective proposal development and strategic positioning + High Contract Renewal Rates: Maintain or enhance the win rate for contract renewals, reflecting strong customer relationships and satisfaction with delivered services. + Market Recognition: Increase visibility and recognition of Parsons' core competencies and leadership in the ES market. + Advanced Market Analytics: Utilize advanced tools, including sentiment analysis, to better understand market dynamics and improve Parsons' competitive standing. + Strong, Strategic Partnerships: Develop and deepen alliances that enhance Parsons' market position and provide competitive advantages in key areas. + Innovation in BD Practices: Lead the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative strategies to position Parsons as an industry leader in success. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + 15+ years of relevant experience in Strategy, Business Development, Profit and Loss Management, Capture, Pricing, and Proposals, with a focus on federal contracting and the Engineered Solutions customer market. + Expertise in evaluating organizational structures, skills, and needs to build an agile, high-performing BD team, challenging assumptions and driving continuous improvement. + Demonstrated success in driving growth within complex, multi-dimensional organizations ($1B+) with revenue accountability for $1B+. + Strong track record in business capture and proposal processes for large-scale government programs with deep knowledge of Federal BD and leadership connections. + Superior emotional intelligence, communication and relationship-building abilities, fostering collaboration and dialogue across diverse stakeholders. + Forward-thinking leader with a hands-on approach to advancing business strategies and driving innovation. + Proven ability to build and transform high-performance teams, fostering a culture of engagement, smart risk-taking, integrity and customer/employee focus. + Demonstrated ability to Salary Range: $220,500.00 - $409,500.00 This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
