Sr. UX Designer, Last Mile Transporter Experience Design - Flex Offers
Description We are the Last Mile Delivery Design team for Amazon Worldwide Operations. We define, build, and maintain the products that Amazon businesses use to deliver packages to customers around the world. Our team of experienced designers, researchers, and cartographers partners with product teams to understand user behaviors and needs, creating high-quality experiences that strive to not only meet those needs, but exceed them. We design experiences such as the Amazon mobile delivery platform, in-vehicle digital tools, DSP 2.0, Delivery Station tools, and other systems that support addresses, geolocation, routing, and deliveries. The experiences we create are used by multiple Amazon businesses and product lines, including Amazon Logistics, Prime Now, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Flex, Amazon Key, Lockers, I Have Space, Retail, and more. Key job responsibilities Our team is looking for high-performing design leaders to drive both big-picture vision and fast-paced execution, delivering near-term results while exploring future opportunities. This design role focuses on the Offers portion of our Flex delivery program, where individuals can earn money as independent contractors by delivering packages for Amazon. Success requires close collaboration with product partners, engineers, and design peers. Many of our projects extend beyond digital interfaces, connecting with real-world physical processes. We work hands-on in our design and prototyping studio, deeply understanding customer needs and creating experiences that aim to meet them in the moments that matter most. A day in the life As a designer on the Last Mile Experience Design team, focusing on Offer experiences for Flex, a delivery program where individuals can earn money as independent contractors by delivering packages for Amazon, you will own your work end-to-end, from managing your UX backlog to developing, testing, and sharing design strategies. You’ll tackle complex design challenges with creative solutions and collaborate closely with product leaders, design peers, and engineering teams to create robust experiences that help users find work that fits their life, including delivery preferences, locations, financial needs, and availability. Strong collaboration and facilitation skills are essential to bring clarity and drive alignment across teams. You’ll be expected to uphold high design standards, continuously improve how we work, and advocate for quality user experiences. With customer needs at the forefront, you’ll use sound judgment, stay informed about our users, competitors, and industry trends, and contribute to delivering best-in-class navigation solutions. About the team Leading with Vision, we adhere to a loose process for design. We invent via collaborative brainstorming sessions. We prototype and simulate experiences with real customers. We socialize vision upward and outward. We document the experience and support our tech teams. We launch and celebrate Work-Life Balance. We aren’t robots—we can’t be effective, innovative designers if we work too many hours (plus, many of us have families!). So, while we may invest extra to time to put on the finishing touches to launch critical projects, we strive to accurately scope projects, reduce project thrash, and average a normal work week.
