Amazon.com
At Amazon, we’re inventing on behalf of customers, and with Amazon Leo, we’re redefining what global connectivity looks like. Our mission is to deliver fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world through a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Every system we build helps connect people to education, healthcare, opportunity, and each other.
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead Flight Electronics development. This role sits at the intersection of systems engineering, hardware, software, test, and manufacturing, driving complex programs that ultimately become part of the LEO satellite infrastructure powering global connectivity.
In this role, you will act as the end-end Sr. TPM for Flight Electronics systems. Your TPM leadership will drive delivery of complex projects involving system architecture, modem, RF communication systems, electrical design, mechanical design, embedded software, thermal design, reliability design, manufacturing, and test. You'll develop integrated plans, drive execution, and remove blockers to enable teams to deliver faster and with higher quality. Your ability to see around corners and proactively manage dependencies and risks will be critical to our success.
This is an individual contributor role with broad organizational influence. You’ll drive alignment and execution leveraging your technical domain knowledge, strong program management fundamentals, and trusted partnerships.
Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end Flight Electronics programs from concept through production, managing initiatives that span multiple engineering disciplines and directly impact Leo's satellite constellation deployment.
• Partner closely with engineering (electrical, software, reliability, thermal, test, mechanical, manufacturing) driving engineering trades and technical solutions. (system, sub-system, and component level)
• Develop structured risk management approaches, maintaining a high bar of accountability across design and production teams to ensure program commitments are met.
• Develop integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs in a high-speed, high-complexity, agile environment.
• Apply understanding of concept of operations, system budgets, and lifecycle considerations for mission-critical electronics.
• Translate engineering concepts into executable plans. (hardware and software)
• Formulate plans with engineering and manufacturing for new product introductions including DFM, manufacturing processes, test strategies, and automated test system development.
• Drive cross-team alignment on ownership, sequencing, and delivery while adapting quickly as conditions change, ensuring deliverables meet customer, mission and program requirements.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
