The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to drive Data Center and Network Capacity in AMER. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity. Key job responsibilities - Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis to senior leadership. Articulating root-cause analysis, and linking to specific improvement areas. - Summarize escalation support and critical leadership decisions. - Mentor newer and less tenured team members. - Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously. - Develop, plan and build implementation solutions that allow cross functional project collaboration to unblock programs with infrastructure dependencies. - Identify process improvement opportunities and gather user requirements with key internal customers. - Develop standard operating procedures, change/communication plans, and project/program-level status updates. - Drive adoption with internal customers through effective change management. - Anticipate potential issues and risks, and escalate appropriately and in a timely manner. - Remain flexible to changing priorities and open to new ideas. - Keep the customer experience as the primary focus About the team Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences. Basic Qualifications - 8+ years of technical program management experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in engineering or equivalent technical degree Preferred Qualifications - Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Tableau (or know how to leverage AI) - Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software) - Anticipates, identifies and drives resolution of technical challenges and interdependencies to prevent downstream problems. - Self-motivated problem solver; able to thrive in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, adapts to change quickly. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
