Sr. Technical Systems Analyst Unix

Job Description

Join a leading global financial institution at the forefront of technological innovation, where you will be part of a dynamic team of IT Support and Infrastructure System Administrators responsible for automation, integration and Unix Platform Support.  You will primarily provide support for Level 2 and Level 3 support and work on automation/continuous improvement projects.

This is a pivotal team who is shaping the future of our global infrastructure by driving the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) and fostering a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What you will do

Work with multiple hardware and software platforms at an intermediate level. Working with business units to understand and meet information needs, primarily L2 and L3 support

Implement and support hardware, software and telephony systems which provide the infrastructure for Customer Support. Apply extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments

Working with technology organizations and other business partners to anticipate challenges to information flows and develop solutions that ensure reliability

Providing system availability and space to meet the hardware and software requirements for the Customer Support function

Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining reports and reporting tools for service centers and enterprise partners

What do you need to succeed?

Must Haves:

Minimum of 5 years in IT infrastructure/Support, with at least 3 years working with automation technologies

Experience with enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Unbuntu

Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Github)

Experience with Python, Korn/Bourne Shell…

Prior experience working with/maintaining scalable, highly available infrastructure on public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure…)

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues, escalate when necessary and partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., storage, networking, security)

Ability to be on call once every 5 weeks for one week

Nice to Have:

DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, or container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
