Sr. Technical Project Manager

We're seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic AI engineering initiatives, coordinating complex, cross-functional programmes that deliver GenAI, LLM, agentic frameworks, and NLP-driven features at scale across our AI platform. You'll partner with the Director of Data Science, Senior Manager of AI, and technical leads to drive high-impact AI initiatives from concept to production. You'll work across AI engineering, data science, data engineering, product, and AI governance teams to ensure delivery excellence in a culture that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learning. This is a hybrid position based at Windmill Lane, Dublin 2, our strategic hub for AI development in Ireland. Responsibilities Own end-to-end delivery of strategic AI engineering programmes, including planning, execution, monitoring, and release Partner with product managers and technical leadership to translate AI strategy into executable delivery plans Coordinate across software engineering, data science, data engineering, AI governance, and product teams Manage complex project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation across multiple workstreams Drive delivery using agile methodologies, ensuring transparency, predictability, and quality outcomes Establish clear governance, reporting, and communication frameworks across stakeholders at all levels Proactively identify programme risks and work with teams to resolve blockers and maintain delivery momentum Track and report on delivery metrics, milestones, and business outcomes to executive leadership Lead planning and prioritisation activities with the Director of Data Science, Senior Manager of AI, and technical leads Influence cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment with AI strategy and business objectives Continuously improve delivery processes, ways of working, and programme management practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience 7+ years of experience delivering technical projects or programmes in software or product-led organisations Strong programme management skills, including scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management across multiple initiatives Proven ability to work effectively with engineering, data science, and product teams Experience working in agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) Understanding of AI/ML development lifecycle, including model development, deployment, and production operations Solid technical foundation with ability to understand software architecture and data science workflows Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity Strong communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical teams Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and influencing at senior levels Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) Preferred Experience delivering AI/ML or data science programmes at scale Understanding of modern ML technologies including large language models, NLP, generative AI, and agentic frameworks Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices Experience working with AI governance, compliance, or responsible AI initiatives Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) EEO Statement iCIMS is a place where everyone belongs.
