Sr. Technical Program Manager, Fire TV Platform Engineering
Description We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive end-to-end software development initiatives that deliver exceptional FireTV experiences to millions of customers worldwide. In this role, you will lead complex, cross functional projects within Amazon's FireTV division, a key component of Amazon Devices & Services. The ideal candidate will combine technical acumen with strategic program management to shepherd innovative features from conception to launch, while collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and key stakeholders across the organization. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, cross-organizational projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will encompass communicating detailed product specifications to teams, developing comprehensive project schedules in addition to risk and mitigations plans. You will utilize metrics to provide accurate status updates and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinating design and implementation efforts across multiple teams, you will drive optimal solutions while anticipating and resolving bottlenecks. Your role requires balancing business needs with technical constraints, making strategic trade-offs when necessary. You must excel in an entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating the ability to overcome scaling challenges and navigate ambiguity. This position demands a combination of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will be expected to exercise sound judgment in delivering both short-term and long-term value for customers. A day in the life In this role, you will coordinate daily with cross-functional teams to track project progress and resolve blockers. Your day involves facilitating standups, maintaining project schedules, and updating documentation to reflect current status. You will regularly engage with stakeholders through status meetings, risk reviews, and leadership updates. Daily activities include triaging issues, prioritizing work items, and collaborating with remote teams to ensure alignment with launch timelines. You will spend time authoring project updates, reviewing technical specifications, and adjusting project plans based on emerging requirements. Active communication with product management and engineering teams will be essential as you guide projects from conception through successful delivery. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
