Department OverviewThe Senior Presales Architect is a senior-level technical expert who plays a pivotal role in the sales process. They're the bridge between a company's sales team and its technical solutions, using their deep product knowledge and industry expertise to understand a client's business needs and design a compelling technical solution. They're not just selling a product; they're selling a vision and a strategy for how that product will solve a client's problems.
Job Description

The Senior Technical Architect will be responsible for supporting and providing technical subject matter expertise for the US Federal Motorola Solutions Account team and Federal Video Security & Access Control Specialist team which includes Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The Senior Technical Architect will be responsible for high value solution designs across Motorola and / or third party technologies based on customer needs and requirements.


Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Detailed requirement review and compliance matricesTechnical proposal contentComprehensive equipment list (BOM)Customer meeting supportCollaboration and support for partner communityTechnical Show SupportDelivering Product Demos to end users and at trade showsContinuous technical training on existing and new technologiesEngaging in innovative opportunities with strategic technology partners based on customer opportunities


Specific Knowledge/Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution designOR 11+ years of experience in needs analysis and solution designEngineering, IT, or Computer Science bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferredMust be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required by government contractExperience working with the Federal GovernmentStrong ability to draw out customer needs / requirementsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalExcellent presentation and demo skillsPractice of selling for outcomes and capabilities versus productHighly motivated and strong team playerExperience with Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD)Experience working with telephony protocols such as SIP and h.323Experience with IP network design and administrationExperience with multicast IP routingPreferred experience with PBX designPreferred experience with RAVE Mobile Safety Suite

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
