**We have an opening for a Sr. Staff Cyber Architect to join our Ground Systems Software (SW) Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% on site, in a SCIF supporting a Space program. The successful candidate will join a large infrastructure team to provide Subject Matter Expert level technical leadership to two large programs. The position requires deep knowledge of LAN / WAN networking, software defined networking, virtualization, Linux OS, cloud infrastructures, and will provide top level architecture support to the program and its remote sites (including international).**
**What you'll get to do:**
+ Design of complex network architectures to address customer requirements
+ Provide expert level network knowledge and application of modern networking techniques and technologies to proposal activities
+ Planning of large LAN / WAN deployments with minimal downtime
+ Mentoring of network engineers both local to Space Park and other sites
+ Formulating innovative solutions to resolve difficult challenges
+ Detailed analysis of program requirements and plans to address
+ Interaction with other IPTs SMEs for requirements gathering and understanding
+ Ancillary duties will include, but are not limited to: evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations for hardware / software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and assistance with asset management
+ Applicant must be experienced in STIG configuration, classified processing, and security procedures and maintain relevant certifications
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 14 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s in Science; 12 years of relevant experience with Master's; 10 years of relevant experience with PhD
+ Active SCI and adjudicated CI Poly required at the time of application
+ Extensive experience and knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, subnetting
+ Extensive experience and knowledge of L1 thru L6 networking
+ Extensive experience and knowledge of static and dynamic routing
+ DISA STIGs as they apply to network devices
+ Security+ or better certification
+ Multicast networking
+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred
+ Experience with Solarwinds network monitoring
+ Experience with Cisco ISE applications
+ Experience with Software Defined Networking
+ Experience with VMWare
+ Experience with Crypto units such as HAIPE
+ Experience with AWS
+ Experience w/SDNs and Cisco ACI
+ Experience with Cisco Firewalls
+ Experience with MPLS, SR-MPLS, PCEP, TVR, IS-IS, OSPF, gNMI/RPC
+ Microsoft Visio Diagram creation
+ CISSP, Cisco, certifications
Primary Level Salary Range: $188,200.00 - $282,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
