JOB TITLE: Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff

DUTIES: Conduct design and development work in the areas of new products, technologies, systems-platform architecture, hardware-software development engineering, technical security and QA. Design and conducts quantitative, algorithmic and theory based analysis for addressing business issues. Work on information extraction and synthesis, data mining, data visualization, network design and optimization, market and financial analysis, operations research, and decision support systems. Work primarily on involve new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation and software maturity. Design, assess, standardize system development, analysis and testing of infrastructure and services that use network and systems technologies. Serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration and continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development. Utilize mobility call flows to diagnose and resolve Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 issues within the mobility network. Employ Wireshark to analyze and troubleshoot Layer 4 to Layer 7 issues, providing recommendations for resolution. Develop testing scripts using traffic generators such as ANT and Landslide to automate firewall platform test cases. Leverage Python scripting to streamline and enhance automation processes. Provide support for firewalls deployed on cloud technologies, including OpenStack, containerization, and Kubernetes.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Information Technology. Requires experience, course work and/or project experience utilizing mobility call flows to diagnose and resolve Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 issues within the mobility network; Employing Wireshark to analyze and troubleshoot Layer 4 to Layer 7 issues, providing recommendations for resolution; developing testing scripts using traffic generators such as ANT and Landslide to automate firewall platform test cases; leveraging Python scripting to streamline and enhance automation processes; providing support for firewalls deployed on cloud technologies, including OpenStack, containerization, and Kubernetes.
