As an Architectural Planning Senior Specialist, you’ll turn business and design strategies into clear, accurate architectural plans that shape every Best Buy store experience. You’ll be the person teams count on to bring order, precision and consistency to complex projects. This includes translating ideas into drawings that meet our standards, local codes and real‑world site conditions. If you love solving problems through thoughtful design and enjoy collaborating with people who rely on your expertise, this role is a great fit.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do
 Create and maintain high‑quality floor plans and construction documents that meet Best Buy standards and local codesTranslate design directives and merchant strategies into accurate, site‑specific architectural solutionsApply established prototypes and standards to ensure consistency across all projectsPartner with internal teams and external consultants to coordinate fully aligned documentationManage updates and ensure accuracy across multiple projects and evolving site conditionsTroubleshoot site‑specific issues such as code requirements, structural constraints and layout challenges
Basic qualifications
 3 years of experience in design, planning, architecture, engineering or related fields3 years of experience producing drawings in AutoCAD
Preferred qualifications
 Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, drafting or related field1 year of retail experience supporting cross‑functional teamsProficiency with Revit, Procore, Blue Yonder and Bluebeam Revu
