Sr. Spatial Data Specialist
Job Description Our organization is undertaking a large scale digital transformation initiative across all refinery sites. As part of this effort, we are performing comprehensive laser scans to capture highly detailed 3D representations of our facilities. These scans generate millions of data points and dimensions, forming the foundation of our enterprise wide digital twin. To support this work, we are seeking specialists experienced in managing and processing point cloud data within cloud environments such as Azure. The role will focus on ensuring the quality and accuracy of vendor provided scan data (QA/QC), standardizing metadata, and helping define and build an internal cloud based storage architecture for long term management of these large datasets. A key responsibility will be publishing and maintaining this data within our digital twin viewing platforms, ensuring engineering and operations teams can easily access, navigate, and use the models. Traditionally, laser scanning vendors perform the scans, prepare the point cloud deliverables, and pass them to CAD teams for design and engineering workflows. This role will help us streamline, integrate, and eventually automate how these datasets move through our internal ecosystem, from vendor delivery to CAD integration to enterprise visualization. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
