Job Title: Sr. Solutions Architect
Location: Washington D.C. – Hybrid

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
As an Engineering /Solutions Architect, your primary responsibility will
be to align people, process, tools, and organizational culture to
satisfy customer requirements:
- Serve as the primary technical face of the organization to key
customers and stakeholders
- Proactively ensure customer satisfaction, deeply understand their
mission-critical needs and strategic objectives, and drive alignment
between customer expectations and the engineering organization’s
delivery roadmap to guarantee successful mission outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with system and software architects and product
teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize our system and software
development lifecycle
- Define document and communicate the overall solution architecture to
create alignment between customers, management, and engineering
staff
- Refine, elaborate, and document customer requirements
- Define and document appropriate technologies to satisfy requirements
- Develop and maintain architectural best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to solve technical problems and
prioritize issues
- Mentor other architects and engineers
- Advises and oversees the software testing process to ensure that all
NFRs are clearly tested.
- Provide general day-to-day leadership of medium to large engineering
organizations
- Negotiate timelines and manage expectations with stakeholders and
engineering teams
- Provides analysis of security protection technologies as necessary.
- Identifies potential risks and issues related to the solution and
takes appropriate steps to mitigate them
Minimum/General Experience/Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (Bachelor
of Science or Bachelor of Arts)
- Required Experience:
- 20+ years of related experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in related technologies with
progressively increasing scope of responsibility
- Technical Certifications
- Leadership Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience
- Proven strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and
problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to track and manage
multiple deliverables and timelines across product teams and
task orders
- Core Solution Architecture Capabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop technical
roadmaps, architecture diagrams, reference architectures, and
supporting visuals to drive alignment and communicate long-term
direction
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently
articulate in-depth technical concepts and recommendations to
both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Hands-on experience leading the end-to-end evaluation of
commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and components for
technical fit, security, performance, scalability, and
integration within complex environment
- Key Technical Experience:
- Broad and current knowledge of the technology landscape and
emerging computing trends
- Prior experience on multiple large-scale technology projects
spanning diverse technologies, approaches, and problem domains
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration programs
- Practical experience implementing DevSecOps practices, Agile
methodologies, and associated toolchains
- Proficiency in architecture modeling using SysML or UML
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and
API-first architectures
- Working knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks and controls
- Platform & Tool Experience:
- Recent experience with Microsoft Azure (preferred) or other
major cloud providers
- Prior hands-on work with ServiceNow and Git/GitLab (Preferred)
or equivalent modern DevOps tooling
- Specialized Environment Experience:
- Recent and verifiable experience designing, deploying, or
architecting solutions in DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5) and Impact
Level 6 (IL6) environments, including familiarity with
associated security controls, ATO processes, and classified
cloud requirements
- Demonstratable experience solutioning and driving modernization
of legacy applications and architecture end to end in an Azure
environment
