The successful candidate will manage multiple teams of software development engineers, partnering with senior leadership, to design, build, and operate innovative material flow software. With a high degree of ownership, you will develop our proprietary solutions end-to-end while setting the technical vision and strategy for your organization.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive the overall software development life-cycle across multiple teams
• Lead an organization of software engineers across multiple teams
• Develop and communicate strategic roadmaps and report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to senior leadership
• Collaborate with principal engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach for complex, cross-team initiatives
• Establish and foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics
• Build and develop a diverse team of managers and engineers; create a strong cross-functional organization
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the organization to understand requirements, priorities, and processes
• Own all operational metrics and support across your organization
• Drive innovation to deliver exceptional customer experiences through everything that we do here at Amazon
• Champion innovative ideas and create an environment where teams are empowered to experiment and find better ways of accomplishing our customer objectives
