How you will contribute
You will:
Support BU’s operation to Global Quality Policies and capture operational feedback to help keep them up to dateDeploy Food Safety programs in area of responsibility (BU/Category/Corporate)Ensure Risk Assessment is employed as the key decision making approach for Product, Process and Package Design SafetyRisk-based Food Safety verification for Suppliers, internal/external plants and warehouses.Support effective management of operational Food Safety challenges at factories including disposition decision making based on risk assessment and advice on risk management interactions with authorities.Influence and partner with cross functional peers, effectively communicating how Food Safety supports our company valuesImplement a Food Safety culture across the organizationWhat you will bring

Education / Certifications:
Four year college degree in agriculture or science related field, preferably BS or MS in Microbiology, Food Safety, Food Science, Engineering, or related field.Job specific requirements:
Provide leadership and expertise in Pest Control, Sanitation standards, Allergen management, and Extraneous Matter preventionStrong technical foundation and knowledge of HACCP and Microbiology programs (GMP, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring, Quality policies, etc.).Lead sanitary design through direct involvement with project teams or by providing guidance to plant projectsSound product safety knowledge (understanding of microbiology) / food technology across product portfolioStrong auditing, assessment, and problem-solving skillsTravel requirements:

Regular business hours M-F (Hybrid).Expected to visit manufacturing sites approximately twice a weekThe expected base salary range for this position is $84,500 to $105,650 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 8% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
