To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our Threat Evaluation and Risk Analysis (TERA) team as a Senior Risk Manager. In this key role, you will lead complex projects aimed at protecting Amazon people, assets, and operations across the Americas (AMER).
Key job responsibilities
- Deliver complex projects aimed at protecting Amazon people, operations, assets and brand
- Oversee complex programs focused on ensuring risk preparedness for Amazon sales events
- Responsible for team data sources for threat trend reports and internal performance reviews
- Responsible for maintaining team databases and dashboards
- Support AMER information collection, assessment, and stakeholder engagement as needed
A day in the life
As a Senior Risk Manager on the TERA team, you will join a team of professionals supporting Security and Loss Prevention and Operations with timely and accurate analysis of known and emerging risks. To achieve this goal, you will identify gaps in Amazon AMER threat monitoring capabilities and drive initiatives to close these gaps. You will also lead complex regional projects aimed at improving Amazon's risk preparedness and oversee complex programs focused on ensuring risk preparedness for Amazon sales events. You will participate in and drive global standardization of risk management best practices. Finally, you will be responsible for team data sources for threat trend reports and internal performance reviews, team databases and dashboards, as well as support AMER information collection, analysis, and stakeholder engagement as needed.

About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. The TERA team is a support function to Security and Loss Prevention and Operations with responsibility to provide timely and accurate analysis of known and emerging risks. This includes operations, Amazon associates, sites, and assets. The team provides risk-based analysis to enable resilience preparation and risk avoidance as well as support decision making. The TERA team helps anticipate, identify, categorize, quantify and report on multiple sources and natures of risks affecting the business. Dedicated to gathering and managing actionable information, the TERA team’s role is to ensure all stakeholders have a detailed view of external risks.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
- Advanced experience with intelligence gathering, analysis and OSINT tools or similar
- Intermediate data analysis and management skills
- Experience in a Global or Regional environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent
- Security, risk management, intelligence operations, or database maintenance certifications
