**Job Title: Refrigeration Technician (Foreman)** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Refrigeration Technician (Foreman) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking refrigerant levels, managing HVAC/R parts and supplies, and maintaining crucial supplier and contractor relationships. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adhere to OSHA and EPA guidelines. This position involves travel to various retail and distribution locations, providing exceptional service and expertise. Responsibilities + Track refrigerant levels and parts usage. + Order and manage HVAC/R parts and supplies. + Maintain supplier and contractor relationships. + Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations, including building codes and indoor air quality standards. + Follow OSHA and EPA guidelines, including refrigerant reclamation. + Model ethical behavior and company values in daily operations. + Service and repair HVAC/R systems at various retail and distribution locations. + Travel from location to location with provided service van/truck and tools. + Move through narrow, confined spaces and navigate uneven surfaces. + Work with substances that require special handling and in varying temperatures, including extreme heat or cold conditions. + Work at heights, including on roofs, scaffolding, or in ceiling spaces. + Work overnight and varying shifts as required. Essential Skills + Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification. + 2+ years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or a construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4+ years of relevant experience. + EPA Type I and II certification. + Experience with large-scale rack refrigeration systems. + Valid driver's license with a clean record. Work Environment Our work environment includes various client-owned facilities such as distribution centers, warehouse cold storage, or retail store equipment. Work involves navigating narrow, confined spaces and mechanical rooms, with exposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, wet, or drafty conditions. You may work on rooftops, scaffolding, or in ceiling spaces. Movement over uneven or slippery surfaces, especially during inclement weather, is required.
