Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7yrs, or more, recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting within IT and/or Engineering
- That experience should also contain experience recruiting mid-to-senior level roles, like Directors and senior managers.
- Sourcing expertise; not just experience, real expertise in finding sources of talent and developing them into candidates. They can use conventional tools like LinkedIn but I’m talking about the querying and project building tools, not posting something on their feed and hoping someone in their network sees and applies.
- Consultative mindset; they need to understand who makes the hiring decision (not them) and that their duty to the search is to GUIDE the hiring manager through the process steps and decisions toward the best outcome, including being able to express the impact decisions will have on the outcome, good/bad/indifferent. They need to be able to influence outcomes, inform decisions using experience, knowledge, and data, and they need to know when to reset or shift direction, and how to bring the hiring manager along with the changes.
