Position Summary

The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a portfolio of housing properties, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and reporting. This role partners closely with property management, program staff, and asset management to ensure financial integrity across affordable and supportive housing programs.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties, including variance and budget analysisPerform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closeMonitor property budgets and maintain schedules for subsidies, grants, and restricted/unrestricted fundsPrepare financial reports and ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing requirementsSupport audits, cost certifications, tax filings, and maintain strong internal controls

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldSeveral years of property accounting experience, preferably within affordable or supportive housingStrong knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, and government-funded housing programsExperience with property management/accounting softwareSolid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and nonprofit accounting practicesStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment PY - PropAcc1_1769452333 To Apply for this Job Click Here
