Position Overview

As a Senior Project Engineer at Thermosystems, you will be a technical resource on a sales team putting together HVAC equipment selections, proposals, and submittals. You’ll work on a fast-paced applied sales team assisting mechanical design engineers and contractors in the design and execution of HVAC projects for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects. Thermosystems provides a comprehensive training program covering HVAC fundamentals and product specific training for new team members.

Location: Elmhurst, IL - Hybrid

Responsibilities

Generate accurate cost estimates and proposals for HVAC equipment and related systemsAnalyze plans, specifications, and other construction documentation to prepare proposalsAssist the sales team with HVAC equipment selections for engineers and contractors in professional and timely mannerPrepare technical documentation for equipment selections/submittalsLearn and stay current on HVAC products and applicationsDevelop relationships with application engineers, vendors, and customersAbility to collaborate in team-driven environmentAll other duties assigned.

Enjoy working in fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentAttention to detailEagerness to learn new technical product information, software, and processesOrganization and time management stills to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects at onceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft 365 suite and general computer software/applications. Familiarity with Bluebeam a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical engineering or related discipline) is required.7+ years of experience in HVAC industry required.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $130,00 in Illinois. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
