Sr. Production Engineer / Manufacturing Process Engineer Location: Blauvelt, NY Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Overview We’re seeking a highly skilled Sr. Production Engineer to join a growing Production Engineering Team and support critical manufacturing initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer (7–10 years) who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys driving process improvements, and can independently lead engineering activities that enhance safety, quality, and throughput. You’ll support daily operations, optimize manufacturing processes, develop documentation, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to New Product Development (NPD) and major capital projects. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Production & Technical Support + Provide day-to-day production engineering support. + Lead PFMEA reviews and process troubleshooting. + Perform structured Root Cause & Corrective Action using 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D methodologies. + Manage ECN processes, documentation flow, and manufacturing updates. + Create and revise floor documentation, work instructions, and visual factory content. + Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD for tooling, fixture, and process design support. Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives + Drive CI projects focused on waste reduction, cycle time improvements, and workflow optimization. + Apply Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and Kaizen. + Support Six Sigma methodologies and data-driven improvement activities. + Enhance standard work practices and production flow. Safety & Quality + Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and ergonomic assessments. + Support quality improvement activities through root cause analysis and process validation. Project Support & NPD + Support CARA/major capital investment projects from justification through implementation. + Assist with NPD transitions from engineering validation to production validation. + Provide cross-functional leadership to ensure project success. Required Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field. + 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or quality engineering. + Strong experience in process engineering, process flow, and manufacturing optimization. + Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD. + Proven experience with CI, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies. + Strong background in time studies, process mapping, and process improvement. + Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Skills + Microsoft Office proficiency. + Experience with material flow, work instructions, and visual factory concepts. + Industrial engineering background or exposure. + Familiarity with production documentation systems and process controls. You’ll help re-engineer processes, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure the production team continues to operate safely, efficiently, and at scale. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Blauvelt, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $45.67/hr.
