Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support our Sentinel Program as an Sr. Principle Operations Chief Engineer at our Promontory, Utah. The role of a Sr. Principle Chief Operations Engineer is to be the single point of contact and representative for the manufacturing of the Sentinel rockets. They will lead process engineers across multiple value streams to coordinate and collaborate throughout all phases of the program
Role Description & Responsibilities:
Collaborating with multiple disciplines to meet program deadlinesCoordinating the development of the Sentinel manufacturing processesAuthor and maintains the Program Process Control Plan, and Contamination Control PlanEstablishes and maintains effective program metricsPresent budget metrics to upper leadership and different organizationsOwner of the Material Bill of Materials (MBOM) for all configurationsCross functional coordination/interaction for design changes and root cause corrective action activitiesInitiate/Run quarterly manufacturing assessment reviewsFlow down contractual requirementsPresent and communicate on manufacturing investigationsPrepare and coordinate estimates for proposalsMember of multiple review boardsMilestone review creation, alignment, and participationSingle point representative for all campuses for the Sentinel programSkills & QualificationsDeep hands-on experience of the Sentinel rocket manufacturing processProven ability to lead a multi discipline teamExpert level of command media to meet deliverablesAbility to conduct rigorous program reviewsProficiency in leading teams to deliver complex projects on timeTranslating long-term program goals into a technical roadmap that anticipates future growthFacilitates alignment across cross-functional teams to ensure project transparency and goal consistencyTakes full end-to-end ownership of program objectivesStrong communication skills across multiple disciplinesSkilled at steering multiple complex initiatives simultaneously from conception to deliveryExperience in Lean Manufacturing TechniquesExperience working with energetic materials and processes.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

Basic Qualification:
B.S. degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered) and 8 years of experience; 6 years with a master’s degreeManufacturing/Process Engineering experienceExperience with Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 6 sigma concepts for process development and controlAbility to motivate and guide teams and activities without having formal “ownership” of the staff supporting those activities.Experience in MS Office software applicationsAbility to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security ClearanceUS Citizenship is required.Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
