Our team is looking for a Senior Principal System Engineer to support the U.S. Navy's EA-18G Growler Block I and Growler Block II Programs by supporting software integration testing and systems engineering of the EA-18G’s Airborne Electronic Attack Subsystems. The ideal System Engineer will have a system engineering background to include experience with Electronic Attack and experience working with software requirements (including developing and executing test plans to verify software requirements). We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that enjoys leading teams, learning complex systems, and solving problems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex electronic warfare systems alongside a multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for an individual that is passionate, driven, self-starter, and goal oriented. All tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:

BS in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience or MS in a STEM field with 6+ years of relevant engineering experience or PhD in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.Experience in EWEmbedded software test development experienceExperience in Airborne Electronic AttackExperience with requirements management databases (e.g., DOORS) Experience in developing software test plans and directing testing activitiesFamiliarity with Atlassian software development and collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)Must be a U.S. citizen.Active Secret Clearance.Ability to work onsite

Preferred Qualifications:

Project management experienceKnowledge of US Navy electronic warfare systemsMust be able to demonstrate proven leadership capabilities in the area of Systems EngineeringDemonstrated excellent communication skills

Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
