Northrop Grumman is looking for a Sr. Principal Project Manager. The Launch Systems (LS) Sentinel Program Promontory Project Management position will play a key role in coordinating personnel access, training logistics, site operations, and security-related tasks to ensure smooth execution of program milestones. This role is critical to ensure smooth day-to-day operations aligned with program goals, security compliance, and efficient personnel support. This position works closely with the Site Manager, Integration and Test Manager, Production Manager, and other site leadership to meet program objectives and maintain operational readiness.
Job Summary:
Candidate shall possess knowledge on how to perform a variety of duties in security collaboration, personnel logistics, and site management operations in support of the Sentinel Program for Launch Vehicles in Promontory, UT. This role will
Support plans and schedules for Launch Vehicles activities in Promontory, Utah
Support the requirements, milestones, and organizational infrastructure to sustain and deliver on the contractual obligations
Maintain close coordination with Integration and Test Manager and Production Manager on program demands, site requirements, and schedule commitments
Participate in daily escalation and tiered meeting structures
Occasional business travel may be required (< 10%).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage new hire setup, including account and software access, classified asset movements, facility access, and camera/security reviews.
Collaborate with site management to provide personnel onboarding and maintain access to classified office spaces.
Coordinate site logistics for visiting personnel, including Promontory building access, workstations, training, and site navigation to support program needs.
Assist with preparation for program tours by developing presentations, signage, and establishing tour boundaries.
Maintain and update the Launch Systems Promontory form list in conjunction with site management to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Schedule, organize, and coordinate logistics for instructor-led training sessions for team certifications and re-certifications as required.
Support cost account tracking and status reporting in conjunction with the Site Manager and Integration and Test Manager to align with site operations and program milestones.
Oversee and organize facility supply management to ensure team members have access to required materials.
Provide support for other Launch Systems facilities and programs in Promontory in a similar capacity, as needed.
Identify and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives aligned with program goals and efficiency improvements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 4 years of experience
High School diploma and 12 years of experience
Active U.S. Government DoD Secret Security Clearance
Familiarity with maintaining and organizing form documentation for compliance purposes
Basic understanding of facility operations and systems, including asset management and supply chain coordination
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience developing presentations and signage
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including site management and external personnel
Demonstrated capability to manage schedules, coordinate logistics, and support multiple concurrent projects
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure compliance and accuracy in administrative tasks
Experience identifying and implementing process improvements aligned with organizational goals
Ability to handle classified materials and support security reviews. Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances, as applicable
Willingness to support team members and programs in a flexible, adaptable capacity as needed
Understanding of cost account tracking and reporting processes is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Safety knowledge or awareness around energetic material
Experience in a government-contracted industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience with facility management

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
