Northrop Grumman Insights & Intelligence Solutions is seeking a Sr. Principal People Analytics Consultant. This position reports to the Senior Manager, People Analytics and will have dotted line reporting responsibility to the Corporate Directors of Employee Relations and Ethics. The person hired into this role can sit in Falls Church, VA and we may also consider full-time remote/telework as well.
At Northrop Grumman, People Analytics is a core domain within our Insights and Intelligence (I2S) organization. I2S is a team of strategic analysts, scientists, engineers, and technologists who use science, research and data to identify strategic insights and create innovative analytic solutions for our business.
In this role, you will be entrepreneurial, creative, and ethically conscious as we work to advance our mission to develop and deliver the insight needed to inform investments in our employees and design optimal employee experiences. You will be a critical and strategic thinker who helps advance the development, integration, and streamlining of data analysis, reporting, and requests for Employee Relations/Ethics work streams, projects, and initiatives. This includes the development of proactive dashboards in collaboration with Employee Relations/Ethics leaders. You will work closely with the ER/Ethics teams to build a measurement strategy and framework for key programs to ensure impact and performance. You will support and prioritize Employee Relations/Ethics analysis needs to provide recommendations and enable decisions.
**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:**
+ Consulting with Employee Relations/Ethics leadership to identify top analytic priorities
+ Streamlining reporting and automating where appropriate
+ Creating dashboards to deliver on-demand insights
+ Analyzing data for trends and next steps
+ Communicating results to an executive audience to effectively tell the data story
+ Leveraging all available analytics systems and tools (e.g. Workday; NAVEX; People Analytics data warehouse, various analytics dashboards, statistical modeling, etc.)
+ Training team members to self-serve customized or ad hoc reporting needs
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Must have one of the following: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, PhD with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
+ Proficient in data visualization using Tableau
+ Ability to extract and manipulate data from databases using SQL
+ Proficient using an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python or R) to conduct analysis and create visualizations
+ Ability to apply quantitative and statistical approaches to answer questions using data
+ Demonstrated experience using analytics to inform business decisions
+ Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders across the business
+ Experience in executive data storytelling - creating compelling, concise narratives to communicate developed insights
+ Experience collaborating on projects with multiple teams, managing relationships, and communicating findings to audiences
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Understanding of HR domain areas, such as employee relations, recruiting, compensation, performance, learning and development, and HR metrics
+ Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday, NAVEX)
+ Expertise in analytics strategy development
Salary Range: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
