Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems is seeking an Orbit Analysis to be a member of a cross-disciplined specialist team located in Aurora, CO. This position is a highly visible position that includes frequent interactions with customers and working on a badge-less team.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Maneuver PlanningGenerating maneuver plans and operational execution products; coordinating plans with leadership, crew, and mission partnersManaging long-term orbit stability and longevityPerform propellant management, thruster calibration, and lifetime trendingOrbit DeterminationUse orbit determination software to perform routine OD, ephemeris prediction, and post-maneuver OD recoveryApply knowledge of ground and space hardware and software systems to update orbit determination and covariance modelsGenerate ephemeris and operational orbit products; provide products to crew and mission partners as neededNorthrop Grumman offers a competitive and robust benefits program. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline plus 8 (6 years with MASTERS) years relevant experienceDemonstrated background in one or more relevant engineering disciplinesExcellent written, presentation, coordination, and communication skills along with excellent interpersonal and team building skillsCandidate must possess at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:Dept of Defense Top Secret level with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with CI PolyOR SCI access with an SSBIOR Dept of Energy Q clearance with an SSBIAbility to utilize MS Office Tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, to execute responsibilities as needed within the role (presentations, internal/external communications, data, collection, etc.)Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with STK and programming language (Python, MATLAB, or PERL)Experience with operational orbit determination and maneuver planningAbility to respond quickly to resolve anomaliesAbility to learn the details and interdependencies of complex, operational systemsPrevious experience with troubleshooting and performing analysis on operational systemsFamiliarity with LinuxSalary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
