As Partner Sales Manager within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of technology within the portfolio of partners and solution providers. Your broad responsibilities will include helping to define and execute against our Global CPG Retail strategy by establishing business and technical relationships and managing the day-to-day interactions with these organizations to build long-term business opportunities.
The ideal candidate must possess a background in working with System Integrators and ISVs and will possess a partner strategy background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CXO/VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and architects. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
This global role will be dedicated to working with strategic CPG Retail accounts within APJ, serving as the primary AWS representative to drive worldwide co-sell initiatives. The position requires coordinating across multiple time zones and geographies to map the customer and partner's global organization, own relationships with key Sales stakeholders internationally, and work closely with them to build an AWS-aligned book of business across regions.

Key job responsibilities
Working with the partner to:
- Own and drive through from qualification to closure pipeline of partner originated and AWS originated opportunities to drive contribution to revenue growth - Have a broad based understanding of cloud technologies.
- Develop and execute the strategic sales growth plans while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, marketing, legal, support, etc.).
- Establish the business development pipeline by engaging with Partners and Account Managers.
- Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress against budgeted plan and any potential roadblocks to launching opportunities.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of the customer strategy.
- Handle ad-hoc incoming Partner inquiries and qualify them as potential AWS partnerships and customer targets.
- Plan and execute business development activities
- Develop a group of committed AWS champions across the partner sales and operations teams
- Run regular cadence on creating and progressing pipeline
- Define and build case for funding / investments (as required)
- Managing worldwide complex funding programs
- Managing all co-sell related issues

Basic Qualifications
- Japanese fluency, Business English
- Extensive experience in technology related (IT infrastructure / cloud products and services) Key Account Management, Partner Business Management, Sales Strategy, or a mix of such exposure with experience in having owned and delivered a revenue goal
- Proven track record of managing and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders (CXO level)
- Experience in driving multiple collaborative initiatives to meet a common business objective
- Willingness to travel to meet with partner executives, customers and internal stakeholders, attend events and support field teams as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance, once the objectives have been set, and overall direction has been aligned; a keen sense of ownership, drive, and ability to deliver in ambiguity
- Experience of working with large, global organizations is preferred
- Strategic thinking: to think strategically about business challenges, and create a compelling value proposition
- Relationship management: ability to build rapport and earn trust with a wide range of internal and external senior stakeholders
- Project management: to be able to execute a wide-ranging overall plan through assigned, monitorable tasks, and deliver results; strong communication and presentation skills: to articulate ideas to cross functional audiences
