As the Sr. Operations Planning Analyst Intern, you'll have the unique opportunity to partner with supply chain and operations experts and support a dynamic team across its primary functions. You’ll gain a broad range of experience in the many elements that contribute to the daily operations of a multi-faceted enterprise and develop critical business competencies through various tasks.

Internship Responsibilities

During this internship, you may assist with the following duties:

Create, monitor, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly order forecasts for manufacturing and distribution centers. Assist in the development of production-planning strategies and activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules. Work closely with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Sales Forecasting teams to develop accurate forecasting of inbound and outbound workflow. Support strategic decision-making and the improvement of critical processes such as staffing and capacity planning. Gather requirements, document, and communicate the results of efforts to cross-functional team members. Develop KPI dashboards and data models to assist in making key business decisions. Analyze various KPIs for turnaround time, capacity, productivity, and forecast accuracy to identify potential risks and report to management. Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis based upon business needs. Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements. Manage projects by monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of tasks. Develop modeling techniques using machine learning and automation to assist with operational and labor planning.

Preferred Skills

Strong understanding and mastery of forecasting and supply chain planning processes and analytics. Experience in data analytics, modeling, simulation, and reporting. Excellent Microsoft skills, including data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL. Automation tools (R, Python, etc.) a plus. Excellent process improvement, process design, and change/program management skills. Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to write routine reports and prepare influential communications (email, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to present data to different groups within the organization, including executives. Excellent mathematical skills. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. Analytical thinker with a desire to be continually challenged. Team player with a positive attitude. Ability to manage in a highly confidential and professional manner. Ability to initiate immediate interaction, coordination, and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Education Level: 3rd or 4th year college
Degree Target: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (related technical field a plus).
Program Dates: June 1st to Aug 7th (You must be able to work the full 10 weeks)
