Sr. Operations Manager, Growth Partnerships
Uber
**About the Role**
The Senior Operations Manager, Growth Partnerships, is a high-impact role designed to accelerate consumer growth across India. Your primary objective is to unlock significant trip volume and rider acquisition by strategically enhancing the operational footprint and rider experience at high-density transit and commercial hubs. You will operate as an internal entrepreneur, owning the strategy, negotiation, and execution for scaling Uber's presence where riders need us most.
**What the Candidate Will Do**
1. Strategic Growth: Identify, prioritize, and secure strategic partnerships (transit, commercial, institutional) by modeling financial impact and leading complex negotiations for optimal infrastructure and promotional access.
2. Deal Ownership & Outcome Focus: Own the end-to-end partnership lifecycle, structuring deals with clear, measurable targets tied directly to trip growth, new rider acquisition, and operational efficiency.
3. Operational Excellence: Analyze rider experience data to pinpoint and implement scalable solutions to reduce friction and develop standardized operation playbooks for high-volume hub management.
4. Performance Leadership: Own and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) like new rider growth, trip volume, conversion rates, and ROI to the leadership team.
5. Cross-Functional & Partner Management: Serve as the central integrator for internal teams (Ops, Legal, Marketing) and cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with external partner executives.
**What the Candidate Will Need**
1. Experience & Sector Focus: 5+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Operations, Business Development, Brand Activation, Partnerships or Growth functions, with a clear focus on partnerships within high-growth Technology, Retail, or Consumer-facing sectors. An MBA from a top-tier institution is a plus.
2. Execution & Deal-Making: Proven ability to independently drive the entire partnership lifecycle—from business case development to complex contract negotiation and operational launch. Direct experience negotiating and implementing agreements with large government or quasi-government agencies (e.g., Metro Rail Corporations, Airport Authorities) is preferred.
3. Analytical Acumen: Advanced proficiency in data analysis to model scenarios, measure performance, and justify investment. SQL knowledge is a plus.
4. Bias for Action & Sector Knowledge: A resilient, entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of thriving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. Must deliver measurable results under tight timelines.
5. Influence & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to communicate strategy, influence decisions, and manage relationships with both internal senior leaders and external C-level stakeholders.
