Sr. Material Manager, Forecasting and Demand Planning, Global Fleet and Products Electrification and Infrastructure
Amazon.com
Amazon is committed to building a sustainable business for our employees, customers and communities. From leading The Climate Pledge to our goal of Net Zero Carbon by 2040, Amazon has consistently driven industry change. Deploying a fleet of 100,000 electric delivery vehicles is one major way we’re making a difference.
Amazon’s Global Fleet Electrification & Infrastructure (GFP E&I) team is seeking a results-driven leader with strong business judgment and cross-functional collaboration skills to own material planning for EV charging and electrical infrastructure. Our Material Managers are high-energy self-starters who thrive on building scalable processes that connect engineering, sourcing, logistics, and construction to deliver critical EVSE to Amazon’s fleet charging sites worldwide.
As a member of the Electrification Supply Chain Team, you will manage material readiness and orders across the Americas supporting Amazon’s growing network of fleet electrification projects. This role’s primary focus is to build next-generation forecasting and demand-planning infrastructure for medium- and low-voltage electrical systems — including switchgear, transformers, rectifiers, and chargers. You will collaborate closely with design engineering, deployment, and supplier partners to develop an integrated, data-driven forecast that aligns global supply with project demand. You will also be responsible for tracking and auditing material status from purchase order through site delivery, ensuring supply continuity, and implementing proactive strategies to mitigate risk and accelerate deployment.
Key job responsibilities
Lead end-to-end materials management for power distribution products and chargers across global projects.
Develop and execute demand- and supply-planning processes ensuring on-time equipment availability aligned with deployment schedules.
Partner with Engineering, Sourcing, and Construction to translate design changes and forecasts into executable procurement plans.
Manage Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cadence for electrification hardware, integrating supplier lead-times and manufacturing constraints.
Build and automate forecasting models using internal data pipelines and supplier inputs to improve accuracy and reduce inventory exposure.
Drive supplier continuous improvement initiatives.
Track global inventory, shipments, and at-risk materials; mitigate disruptions through proactive allocation and supplier collaboration.
Support business reviews and executive updates on supply continuity, delivery metrics, and cost performance.
