Our team builds foundational, core services that power Business-to-Business (B2B) commerce transactions on Amazon. We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Software Development for Invoice By Amazon (IBA) product. IBA provides a single supplier invoice product as the default experience for all Amazon Business (AB) customers in Europe and India with upcoming expansion in JP and MX. As more and more customers adopt the IBA experience, we face increasingly complex architectural challenges. We are currently directing our efforts towards scaling our systems and reducing parity gaps in order to provide a seamless experience for all our customers. We are seeking a creative, demonstrated leader with superior analytical abilities who can can thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy and fun work environment. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The role is based in Madrid and will require some international travel. Key job responsibilities As a technology leader for IBA you will be responsible for driving the technical direction for 4 teams. You will be leading core product development to create and enhance services, and enable innovation and process improvements on these services. You will also work closely with other software development teams within Amazon to lead changes through their systems. About the team IBA's core team is a two-pizza team that owns the integrations with ordering systems that enable IBA orders to be processed during checkout, fulfilled correctly and returned properly if needed. Because of the horizontal nature of the IBA product, engineers on our team work regularly with the owners of foundational platforms across ordering lifecycle. This poses a great challenge in terms of cooperating with stakeholders from very diverse domains, but comes with equally great opportunities to have a big impact, grow and innovate. Basic Qualifications - Experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software - Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment - Experience managing engineers - Experience partnering with product and program management teams - Experience in engineering - 10+ years of software engineering and product delivery experience - Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C++, C#, or Java - Background in algorithms and high performance distributed systems - Experience in management - Excellent (English) communication and analytical skills, Spanish is not required Preferred Qualifications - Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
