The Senior Manager hired for managing Canadian Retail Treasury or Wholesale Treasury Funding or Funding and Liquidity Management business works closely with his or her direct/dotted-line reports in ensuring Treasury Product Control performs complete and accurate DFE/risk reporting. The Senior Manager hired for a particular line of business is supported by 1-6 direct/dotted-line reports who are responsible for providing professional, timely Daily financial estimates of trading and non-trading books to Front Office/risk management, CFO group and Accounting. The Senior Manager is responsible for reviewing daily P&L and risk reports prepared by direct/dotted-line reports to ensure its reasonableness and accuracy. The senior manager reviews and prepares month-end reconciliation of all books by comparing variances between DFE and General Ledger actuals on a monthly basis and explains all the variances to Front Office and other business stakeholders. The senior manager is also responsible for reviewing Hedge Effectiveness Packages prepared on month-end by analysts and attests its accuracy through a formal sign-off process. In addition, the senior manager also reviews several regulatory reports prepared for financial disclosures and answer all business queries. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Develop meaningful working relationships fostering trust and confidence in our team + **Innovative –** Participate in the development of new business initiatives, testing of new products, systems and or processes to ensure accuracy and completeness from the perspective of DFE, risk and hedge accounting (if applicable) + **Operational excellence –** Manage team tasks on a timely manner to meet the deadline of month-end processes such as DFE G/L reconciliation, hedge effectiveness binders preparation and other reporting deliverables. Tableau, Power BI. + **You have strong knowledge** of financial instruments valuation including derivatives, fixed income securities and money market instruments. You are well versed with General Ledger accounting and hedge accounting principles. You are able to calculate and validate hedge effectiveness amounts for designated relationships, perform analysis to understand causes and sources of ineffectiveness. + **You** **have a Degree** in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or Finance and/or 4 - 6 years of business related experience and have completed or pursuing professional designation qualifications such as MBA, CPA, CFA and/or FRM + **You're passionate about people.** You find meaning in relationships, and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners.
