What You’ll Be Doing

Cyber security threats represent one of the most significant risks that financial institutions face today and require constant vigilance and improvement to stay ahead in the current environment.  To address these risks, CIBC maintains a comprehensive and robust information & cyber security program to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of its information and systems, to enable trusted client relationships.

As the Senior Manager, Strategy within CIBC’s Cybersecurity, Third Party & Resilience (CTPR) team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, execution, and tracking of the enterprise-wide CTPR strategy. You will work closely with the Director and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and report on cybersecurity, third-party risk, and operational resilience data. Your strong analytical skills and cybersecurity knowledge will help inform strategic decisions and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. You will also support the preparation of executive presentations and communications to facilitate stakeholder engagement and leadership reporting.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.  This is subject to change with an increased number of on-site days expected.

How You'll succeed

Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to cybersecurity, third-party risk, and operational resilience. Provide actionable insights to inform strategic planning and decision-making.Reporting & Metrics: Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to track progress against strategic objectives and key performance indicators.Industry Research: Monitor industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats. Integrating relevant findings into CTPR strategies and future planning.Presentation & Communication: Develop professional presentations and written communications to support stakeholder engagement and leadership reporting.Project Coordination: Support the Director in coordinating strategic initiatives, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and alignment with business priorities.Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams across the enterprise to gather input, validate data, and facilitate effective information sharing.

Who are you

You can demonstrate experience in Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related analytical role within financial services or a similar environment. You have strong data collection, analysis, and reporting skills, with proficiency in relevant tools and methodologies. You have advanced skills in creating professional PowerPoint presentations and executive communications. You have excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, best practices, and regulatory requirements.You're passionate about people.
