Our team in the Space Sector’s Actuation and Avionics Business Unit is looking for a Sr. Manager, Electrical Design Engineering to lead a multi-functional team of Electrical, EEE Component, FPGA, and Packaging design engineers for NASA, military, and commercial space applications. You will report to the Staff Design Engineering Manager with your own team of approximately 15 direct reports. 

As a Sr. Manager, Electrical Design Engineering, you will:

Lead and mentor a dynamic team of ~15 engineers, fostering growth and collaborationProvide personal development for direct reports by conducting performance reviews, training, mentoring, and monitoring career developmentAssign programs and projects to direct reports in a timely manner and monitor these tasks so they are completed within technical, cost, and schedule constraintsChampion continuous improvement in the design and development processesCoordinate with design leadership to align project goals and share best practices across teamsMaintain key performance indicators and metricsProvide expert technical guidance and support to your teamSelect and equip your team with the best tools and technology to excelFoster design reviews, validating adherence to internal standards

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field7+ years of technical experience, designing and developing circuit cards, electronic enclosures, or working with FPGAsProven track record managing and leading engineering teams to successSelf-motivated, with strong critical thinking and analytical skillsProficient communication skills, both in writing technical documentation and in public speaking presentationsAbility to work onsite in Elma, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information

Buffalo, NY $110,000.00–$140,000.00 Annually
