Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software  Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification in software engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityHands on experience with Ab Initio suites of product, including Graphs, Plans, Control Center.Hands on experience with Open source frameworks: Open source frameworks (Java, Spring (SpringBoot, Springbatch), Hibernate or JPA)Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Familiarity with modern front-end technologiesExperience with Java/JavaScript, J2EE, XML, Web Services and HTML.Good to have experience working on OpenText Exstream (Dialogue).Exposure to cloud technologies
