Sr. Lead, Information Security Architecture Engineering
**About the Role:** **Grade Level (for internal use):** 12 **The Team:** Our Security Architecture team is at the forefront of cutting-edge security innovation within S&P Global Energy, while maintaining strong cross-collaboration with corporate teams across the organization. The team provides unique exposure to emerging AI technologies and security challenges, positioning members at the intersection of energy sector expertise and enterprise-wide security leadership. **Responsibilities and Impact:** + Design and implement enterprise cybersecurity architectureusing Defense-in-Depth principles and risk-based frameworks, directly impacting the security posture of global technology initiatives + Lead architecture reviews and provide strategic security guidancefor business-critical projects, serving as the primary security subject matter expert for cross-functional teams + Drive secure cloud and AI adoption strategiesby developing new architecture standards and conducting risk analysis for emerging technologies across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments + Produce comprehensive technical reports and executive presentationson enterprise security strategies, influencing C-level decision-making and organizational security direction + Establish baseline security standards and hardening techniquesfor operating systems, network segmentation, and identity access management across diverse technology stacks + Perform advanced threat modeling and risk assessmentsfor strategic technology initiatives, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities **Compensation/Benefits Information:** (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $146,000 to $200,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. For more information on the benefits we provide to our employees, please click here (https://spgbenefits.com/benefit-summaries/us) . **Basic Required Qualifications** **Required Skills:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related technical field with 8+ years of progressive experience in information security and enterprise architecture + Expert-level knowledge of security frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and OWASP, with demonstrated ability to implement governance controls in enterprise environments + Extensive hands-on experience with cloud security architectures and engineering across major platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure, platform, and software service models + Advanced proficiency in threat modeling methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and security architecture design patterns for complex enterprise environments + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of translating security requirements into scalable architecture solutions + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex security concepts to both technical teams and executive leadership **Additional Preferred Qualifications:** + Professional security certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, or cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer) + Experience with security automation tools and infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for security policy enforcement + Background in regulatory compliance framework,s including SOX, PCI-DSS, or industry-specific regulation,s with hands-on audit and remediation experience + Previous experience in financial services or highly regulated industries with an understanding of data protection and privacy requirements **What’s In It For** **You?** **Our Mission:** Advancing Essential Intelligence. **Our People:** We're more than 35,000 strong worldwide—so we're able to understand nuances while having a broad perspective.
