Job Description
The Facilities Assistant role primarily focuses on managing custodial and skilled trades orders. The position involves loading and unloading trucks and driving to various parts of the campus, receiving orders, and communicating with vendors as necessary. The use of pallet jacks and hand trucks is a key component of this job.
ResponsibilitiesManage and organize custodial and skilled trades orders.Load and unload trucks efficiently.Drive to different parts of the campus to deliver orders.Receive orders and communicate with vendors when needed.Utilize pallet jacks and hand trucks effectively.Essential SkillsAbility to lift boxes and other items up to 100 lbs.Proficiency in using hand tools and pallet jacks.General labor experience, particularly in logistics, warehouse, or stockroom settings.Computer literacy for managing orders and vendor communication.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of trades and parts.Experience in using power tools and hand trucks.Ability to work independently and manage tasks without direct supervision.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a sprawling 235-acre university campus, offering a dynamic and varied setting. Employees are expected to dress appropriately for physical labor and outdoor work.
Shift - 7 am - 3:30 pm ,M-F; must be flexible working late some days due to late shipments.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
