Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Sr. Innovation Engineer to lead the application of the Amazon Robotics (AR) System and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) automation into our European Delivery Station Network. The successful candidate will be a member of the European Amazon Logistics Central Engineering team and will be responsible to define, test, validate and implement various Robotics and Automation systems in the Delivery Stations network in EU region. This role requires experienced and entrepreneurial minded Engineers with combined robotics, engineering, planning and analytical skills. This individual will own robotics and automation implementation projects end-to-end and will partner with Process Engineering teams, Operations leaders, Facilities and Engineering teams to effectively operate advanced robotics technology across Amazon's last mile network. Key job responsibilities Key technical partner responsible for implementing DfX for new robotics technologies for Last Mile. Core Responsibilities: - Drive requirements for DfX: X being manufacturing, assembly, safety, reliability, deployment. - Identify opportunities with the product teams to build a roadmap for cost improvement on ASRS technologies - Responsible for meeting cost reduction targets and presenting to sr leaders regularly on progress - Work with Supply Chain on contract manufacturing strategy to reduce cost Technical Collaboration: - Create technical documentation for DfMA - Partner with simulation teams to validate concepts - Work with industry partners on implementing DfX systems within the AMZL eco-system to drive improvements - Participate in cross-functional teams developing future technologies Project Leadership: - Define design improvement opportunities and success metrics for product teams - Champion DfX activities for all new automation tech and build a culture of continuous improvement mindset A day in the life As an Innovation Engineer for AMZL, you'll develop and implement state-of-the-art automation and robotics technologies. Working between field operations and vendor partnerships, you'll identify operational challenges faced by associates and transform them into technological solutions. Based in our Innovation Center, you'll build and validate prototypes through rapid design iterations, using simulation and data analysis to demonstrate real-world benefits. Your role combines hands-on technical development with strategic business planning, requiring you to build compelling business cases for new technology pilots. You'll need to understand deeply how technology impacts both AMZL processes and associate workflows, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to improve operational efficiency and worker experience. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
