**Responsibilities:**
Processes the organization's human resource information using the most efficient and cost-effective computer systems and applications. Researches, analyzes, designs and maintains information systems in support of human resource administration and projects. Monitors HR information needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet changing requirements. Solves complex problems. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Responsible as primary analyst for Benefits including initiatives, custom integrations, configuration and ongoing management. This role requires a deep understanding of Benefits and Core HCM principles and the Workday Platform. This position will also support other Workday modules as necessary. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and a commitment to delivering high quality results.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Provides functional analysis and design to configure, support, maintain, extend, and improve business processes and the associated HR Systems. Designs, manages, and validates configurations, system fixes, enhancements, interfaces, reports, upgrades, regulatory updates and implementation of new modules and features. Creates functional specifications, design diagrams, file and record layouts, page design, user interfaces and navigation, project plans, test plans and implementation procedures for highly complex HCM/Payroll systems.
+ Collaborates with and advises University-wide leadership and user departments regarding feasibility of systems and procedures. Recommends process improvements and system solutions, specifically those that are integral in business process design, planning, configuration, testing and implementation.
+ Investigates and resolves user and system issues, working with University IT and vendor support when appropriate. Provides after hours support when needed. Provides primary and backup support in two or more of these functional areas: Core HR, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Time & Labor, Leave Administration, Benefits.
+ Mentors and/or trains new or lower level staff.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
+ Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience required
+ Or equivalent combination of education and experience
