**General Summary:**
•This is the operational support and administrative function of all employee life-cycle activities. Requires a mastery of all fundamentals of the role within the team and demonstrated achievement of quality and production standards.
•Provides daily support both by researching and resolving issues and by processing job data changes, perform systems testing, and completing administrative activities across multiple HR functions and/or regions. This will vary by HR function and include but not limited to recruiting, performance management, compensation, benefits, HRIS, and employee relations.
•Serves in a capacity to influence change which will simplify the user experience, reduce risk, and increase operational performance.
•Conducts all business process and/or systems testing required in support of upgrades, enhancements, and or new work activities.
**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Serves as the technical and process subject matter expert resource relative to administration of all HR programs, products, services and workflow.
+ Applies excellent understanding of the interdependencies with all facets of HR to include Workday to ensure business processes are efficient, accurate and compliant.
+ Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”) and adhere to all organizational and department specific policies, procedures, and SLAs.
+ Capable of working on a small team, in a role with responsibility for day-to-day administration, providing support to end users, and facilitating and improving business process flow.
+ Own responsibility for confidentiality, data integrity, ensuring its validity, accuracy and timely entry into the applicable HR system(s).
+ Articulates and maintains HR standards, inform management of issues that require attention and suggest opportunities for improvement.
+ Consistently makes an independent business decision in response to demand.
**Job Specifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in human resources, business administration or a related field preferred.
+ 2-3 years experience working in a human resource discipline including but not limited to HRIS, compensation, payroll, recruitment, performance management, and/or benefits administration.
+ Experience applying in-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, standards, and legal requirements, in order to answer related questions via phone and email within established SLAs.
+ Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment and resourcefulness, tact, diplomacy and maintain strict confidentiality
+ Strong analytical skills to be able to break down a problem, situation or process into its component parts, to separate the main issues from side issues, to understand the nature of parts and their relationship to one another.
+ Enhanced knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to human resources.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
+ Strong time management and organization skills to schedule time effectively and use efficient work methods and tools.
+ Team player who works effectively with colleagues to achieve targets and objectives.
+ Ability to work under pressure, remain calm, objective and controlled in responding to urgent or demanding situations.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Workday desired.
+ Seeks out job challenges and opportunities to constantly improve skills.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$40,000.00-$75,600.00
Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
