**Description** **SAIC** is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Ashburn, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC Federal Systems. **This is a hybrid-remote position requiring 2 days on site per week in Ashburn, VA.** **Responsibilities** + Active member of the agile software development team participating in all Program Increment and Sprint ceremonies. + Design and develop .Net applications including middleware applications, user interface applications (java script framework), and web services applications. + Develop and integrate with PostgreSQL server databases. + Develop software design documentation which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions, etc. + Use Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools to include Microsoft Visual Studio and GIT + Manage software testing activities to include data setup, defect troubleshooting and resolution. + Provide Tier 3 / 4 engineering support, as needed, for solutions deployed to production. **Qualifications** **Required:** + **Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.** + Middleware and User interface driven applications. + Web Services development. + Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills. + Multi-threaded applications; Exception handling. + Integration with hardware devices and vendor Software development Kits (SDKs). + Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders. + Javascript, Vue.js, C#, .NET Core, Web API, Visual Studio code, Jenkins, Gitlab, xUnit, SonarQube. + AWS experience. + Agile development. **Education and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a directly related field and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD and 4 years related experience. + 9+ years of experience in software development/engineering. **BI Requirement** + Current holder of a DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one. + Note: Employment will be contingent upon having/obtaining a DHS Public Trust clearance prior to starting.
