Sr. Financial Analyst
We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join one of the largest tech companies in the San Francisco Bay area! Job Description The Financial Analyst V will play a critical role in gathering and analyzing financial information, primarily focusing on valuation and financial modeling. This position involves conducting quantitative analyses that impact investment programs, preparing valuation models, and tracking financial performance across various investments. Responsibilities + Prepare detailed financial and valuation models for diverse applications, including debt issuances, interest collection, and valuation of IT infrastructure. + Review the performance of private company investments, including equity, convertible debt, and other instruments, while understanding and quantifying associated risks. + Monitor investment performance and update valuations as necessary. + Engage in project-based valuation and financial modeling tasks, supporting strategic and private investments, M&A valuation, and complex financial scenarios. + Build, run, and update financial models quarterly, supporting reporting and investment performance tracking. + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues, attending meetings and preparing presentations for updates and discussions. Essential Skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Attention to detail and critical thinking. + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. + Problem-solving skills and the ability to formulate new solutions. + Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses. + Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data reporting. + Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other related financial software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related financial discipline is required. + Experience in valuation, investment banking, or as a research analyst is preferred. + Strong background in accounting and finance, with the ability to interpret financial statements. + Experience with financial modeling and variance analysis. + Familiarity with Fortune 100 environments. Work Environment The position is based onsite with a requirement of three days a week in the office. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Menlo Park, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
