Sr. Financial Analyst, Alexa Enterprise Finance
Description Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of our Alexa Enterprise Finance team. Alexa is the name of the Amazon cloud service that powers the Echo device family, the Amazon devices designed around your voice. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative, creative, and fastest growing businesses at Amazon. The candidate will support the Alexa Enterprise organization by providing financial oversight, with a focus on headcount and non-headcount management. The candidate will work closely with business leaders, finance stakeholders, FP&A and BI. You will be be a key contributor to the Alexa Enterprise P&L and play a big role in planning cycles. Additionally, you will help define the right models, tools, and mechanisms necessary to address business opportunities, drive automation, and improve internal controls. You will dive deep into the business drivers and use a data-driven approach to influence business decisions with your findings. We are looking for a candidate who will raise the bar for their colleagues, helping establish best practices and drive a positive and engaging team culture. Key job responsibilities - Lead Headcount forecasting processes and partner with business leaders to drive strategic workforce planning and ensure alignment with budget and operational goals - Lead forecasting and budgeting for all Non-HC operating expenses, collaborating with business partners to support planning, tracking, and variance analysis - Have ability to independently influence and drive outputs, meet deadlines, and set clear expectations - Identify basic control risks, evaluate impact, propose changes, and implement improvements to remediate gaps. - Deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly financial reporting. Use financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Output plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations. - Drive automation efforts of existing manual processes and perform ad-hoc analysis as needed. - Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) Preferred Qualifications - MBA, or CPA - 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
