SUMMARY OF JOB The Sr. Director of Financial Operations is responsible for the preparation and use of budgets, data analytics, financial statements and business intelligence to effect positive financial performance of the assigned business lines: HRPAS/ASC/IWA/CCC and related owned businesses including the Hospital. This leader will possess expertise in analytics, drive accountability, optimize performance, and foster integration between the medical group, hospital and other Redeemer Health divisions while supporting the ministry's broader strategic and operational goals. This role includes importing, transforming, validating, and modeling healthcare data with the purpose of understanding or making inferences for decision or management purposes that better the operational performance of the organizations. In addition, the Sr. Director of Financial Operations will work with leadership, both operational and clinical, in designing and developing analytical capabilities, reports, and dashboards needed to execute short and long-term initiatives. RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Administration or related field is required, a Master Degree in Finance, Business, or Health Administration preferred. A minimum of ten years experience in Accounting and/or healthcare finance field and knowledge of operational and business impact of financial and budget performance. This position will require a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and consolidated financial statements. Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems, office based EMR, population health tool, business intelligence tools a plus but not required. The candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills. This position requires ongoing communications with other members of Senior Management on a routine basis. Knowledge of operating and capital budget development and forecasting at the corporate level is required. Understanding of population health, value based payor contracting is essential.
