Join us to help push beyond the realm of the possible with such future-defining technologies as robotics, sensors, software analytics and connectivity to generate ever-more meaningful actionable intelligence for our customers so they can proceed with certainty – and succeed. **Summary** Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Corp Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), the Sr. Director of Corporate FP&A will provide financial leadership to the executive team and segment leaders, operating as a business partner and trusted advisor. This role will have direct responsibility for all corporate financial planning and analysis matters, including business modeling and strategic planning along with review and challenge of the budgets/forecasts and performance of the business. Primary success factors will be meeting or exceeding the corporate consolidated financial performance as reviewed by executive leadership, ability to improve the effectiveness of the internal financial, business control environment, driving working capital, cash flow performance, and financial reporting to executive leadership including Board of Directors. **Position Responsibilities** + **Financial Strategy** : Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's long-term objectives, growth initiatives, and risk management. + **Budgeting and Forecasting:** Assist with the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate goals. + **Capital Management:** Participate in assessment and recommendations of the company's capital structure, including debt and equity, to optimize capital allocation and cost of capital. + **Financial Analysis:** Conduct in-depth financial analysis, assess investment opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior leadership. + **Risk Management:** Drive scenario analysis using data driven recommendations and provide assessments to executive leadership. + **Mergers and Acquisitions:** Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, including financial due diligence and post-transaction integration. + **Management Financial Reporting** : Prepare management financial reporting presentations, including reports for the Board of Directors, offering insights and data-driven recommendations. + **Treasury Management:** Drive optimization in cash flow management, investment strategies, and banking relationships to ensure liquidity and financial stability. + **Team Leadership:** Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering professional development and a culture of excellence. + **Compliance** : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and reporting obligations for a publicly traded company. + **Other duties as assigned** **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience + Minimum 15+ years of finance experience required within the Aerospace and Defense or Technology field with minimum 8+ years of direct managerial experience + Experienced with Financial Planning Systems (Oracle EPM / Hyperion) + Experienced managing budgets and the annual planning process + Experienced preparing financial models + Experienced in a public company **Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies** + MBA / CMA or advanced degree preferred + Demonstrates strong written and analytical skills with experience presenting financial information to executive level management. + Demonstrates competency work cross functionally and influence others through strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Uses vision to think beyond the immediate situation, explore multiple potential paths, and adapt decision-making style based on the situational circumstances + Inspires, motivates, and empowers people to deliver organizational goals, while also delivering value back to employees + Brings organizational values to life using personality, uniqueness and the creation of a shared vision + Champions the process of change and promotes a culture of quick adaptation while helping others deal with the effects of change + Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain internal and external trusting, professional relationships + Assesses the degree of risk and opportunity in plans or actions and takes appropriate action to mitigate them or makes plans to build on the opportunity **Physical Demands** + Ability to work in an office environment (Constant) + Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent) **Special Requirements** + U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required. **Clearance Level** No Clearance The salary range for this role is: $183,501 - $259,875 AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. **ITAR Requirement:** _T_ _his position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
