Sr. Data & Analytics Platform Engineer
Our client, a leader in the automotive retail industry, is seeking a Sr. Data & Analytics Platform Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Data & Analytics Platform Engineer, you will be a key contributor in evaluating, designing and implementing advanced features along with ensuring reliability, scalability, security of Data & Analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration with various audiences, and a cloud-native, security first mindset which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Sr. Data & Analytics Platform Engineer **Location:** Richmond, Virginia or Dallas, Texas **Job Type:** Direct-Hire, Permanent **Pay Range:** $140,000 - $160,000 **What's the Job?** + Implement, configure, monitor, and maintain cloud-based Data & Analytics platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake. Troubleshoot and resolve environment performance, connectivity, access, and security issues. + Design, implement, and maintain role-based access controls (RBAC) in the Enterprise Snowflake Platform. + Implement Azure cloud capabilities including but not limited to Data Factories, Batch Accounts, storage, Key Vaults, Log Analytics, and automated deployments. + Design, implement, automate, and maintain Cybersecurity Audit reporting for user access, role permissions, system administration, and operational activities for Data & Analytics platforms. + Streamline development and operational processes via continuous integration, deployment, automated testing while leveraging Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. + Evaluate new technologies and features, and implement them by collaborating with architects and end users. Evaluate capacity requirements and automate necessary scaling within Azure environment + Collaborate with vendors, customers, and peer teams to create scalable and cost-efficient platforms for Data Science and Machine Learning. **What's Needed?** + Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent area. + 5+ years of experience with Snowflake Platform engineering in an enterprise-level environment. + 3+ years of experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. + 5+ years of DevOps experience with a clear understanding of related tools and processes in an Agile/Scrum setting. Experienced in SRE practices, testing frameworks, Infrastructure as Code, and building CI/CD pipelines. + 3+ years leading the end-to-end design and development of scalable services to be consumed by the enterprise, including monitoring and production support.
